Following a decade of service on some of the most exciting shows to come out of LA in the past 10 years, (Fargo, Luke Cage, Hand of God) and most recently his work on one of Apple’s first original series (Are You Sleeping), Writer/Director Steven Fine dazzles in his directorial debut with first feature film, LOVE SHOT.

After a career as a hitman in the shadows of LA, MAX (Dakota Loesch) suffers a moral breakdown - a lifetime of questionable choices and disappointing outcomes has led MAX to contemplate retirement before one last job brings him face to face with new challenge, karaoke singer, KAREN (Amy Tsang).

The realities of a potential future together, and the impending dangers involved, bring the two lost souls on a descent into the K-town underground as each of their stories are unveiled piece by piece - their collective future impacted with every misstep. When an established Jewish Mob boss, TONY, (John Kapelos: Shape of Water, Breakfast Club) comes to town hoping to challenge the Korean Mob, MAX learns that TONY and KAREN share a history together.

MAX accepting KAREN’s past becomes the greatest threat to their future together. As things heat up MAX is faced with a new dilemma, finish one last job and leave the game on his own terms, or drive away into the darkness with a new love.

Dynamic camerawork, clever dialogue, and a star soundtrack of modern doo-wop classics showcase some of the best new talent in Hollywood. John Kapelos is mesmerizing while fresh faces, Dakota Loesch and Amy Tsang inspire in their first performance on-screen together. One of the most exciting new craftsman in Hollywood, Steven Fine’s directorial debut shines a light on the streets Los Angeles in an authentic and endearing nod to the hitman genre - Love Shot will leave you wanting more.

“The story is a dark, yet comic look at new relationships through the lens of a genre movie.”
